Amla Vidya Balakrishnan, an MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) in India, received a fraudulent call offering the position of private secretary to Priyanka Gandhi. The caller demanded 3 crore rupees ($406,000 USD) from her. The suspects Gaurav and Nitin Kumar were apprehended in Delhi’s Ghazipur district. They are accused of making the deceitful offer and trying to extort money through a phishing scam targeting political figures.
