The Newfoundland and Labrador provincial government has announced new measures to support families of children with cleft lip or palate. Effective October 1, 2025, the initial assessment fee for these conditions, currently around $120, will be covered by the government. Additionally, starting April 1, 2026, the treatment cap has been raised to $6,656 per therapy session.
