Onanuga described this as an attempt to undermine Nigeria's sovereignty and image overseas. While Tinubu’s optimism is palpable, Solomon Dalung, former Minister and ADC chief, offered a more critical perspective from the opposition camp. He argued that praise directed at Tinubu regarding Nigeria's security does not accurately reflect current challenges. In an interview, 70-year-old former Minister of Power Prof. Bart Nnaji highlighted his enduring commitment to resolving Nigeria’s electricity issues, despite his advanced age. This stance underscores the ongoing battle against energy infrastructure deficiencies in a country where even communication costs can vary significantly—reportedly being less expensive to reach Canada than parts of northern Nigeria itself.
