A homeless man’s body was discovered at a recycling facility in Dublin, authorities confirmed. Andrew Haire, 35, had been sleeping rough in Cork and receiving support from local homeless services before traveling to Dublin. His body was found at a recycling depot less than 24 hours after he left Cork, according to Irish Examiner (irishexaminer.com).
Investigators are now examining whether the body was transported to Dublin from Cork. The Independent reports that the bin containing Haire’s body may have been moved 200 kilometers from Cork to Dublin (independent.ie). The police are trying to trace his last known movements.
A local newspaper, Mirror, suggests the body may have traveled 150 miles to reach the Dublin site (mirror.co.uk). The cause of death is still under investigation, and authorities are looking into how Haire ended up at the recycling plant.
No further details have been released about the circumstances surrounding his death.
