Seiko has introduced two new models in its Alpinist Mechanical GMT collection, featuring blue and black dial options. The watches, designated HBC008J and HBC009J, are based on the same 6R54 movement and case as the global HBC007 model. Both variants are available exclusively through Seiko’s core shop network in Japan. The new models are priced at 155,100 yen (~$983) each and will be released on September 11.

The 6R54 movement is known for its reliability and precision, a hallmark of Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking. The blue and black dials offer distinct visual identities, catering to different aesthetic preferences. While the global HBC007 was previously available in other markets, these new variants remain exclusive to Japan’s domestic retail channels.

The launch follows Seiko’s ongoing commitment to expanding its Alpinist line with both mechanical and quartz options. The new GMT watches are designed for travelers and enthusiasts who value timepieces with dual-time functionality. The pricing reflects the premium associated with Seiko’s mechanical craftsmanship and limited availability.
