Pakistan has appointed former South Africa cricketer Michael Smith as its new batting coach, effective from the upcoming test series against England. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the decision in a statement on Tuesday.

Smith’s coaching career began after his playing days, during which he played 89 first-class matches, 72 List-A games, and 16 Twenty20 matches for South Africa. His experience as a player will be key in shaping the batting strategy for Pakistan.
