Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi has suspended three senior investigators from the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) as part of a government-led overhaul of the unit (mg.co.za). The government has launched a sweeping reset of IDAC, including lifestyle audits of all 146 employees, case reviews, and disciplinary action against senior officials (iol.co.za). One of the key figures under scrutiny is Raphesu, an IDAC investigator who worked on Project Diversion, allegedly led by Johnson. Raphesu is expected to provide critical testimony about the project and the claims now central to the commission’s investigation (iol.co.za). The ongoing probe has intensified pressure on IDAC to address internal corruption and improve transparency.
