Gardaí conducted a sweeping search in south Dublin linked to a shooting, seizing drugs, cash, vehicles, and shotgun ammunition. The operation, part of an ongoing investigation, included the recovery of a boat engine, according to reports. Authorities have not yet disclosed details about the shooting or the individuals involved.
The searches followed a series of complaints about noise from a data centre in Clondalkin, which has prompted an investigation by the Environmental Protection Agency. Thirteen noise complaints were filed since July 15, raising concerns about the centre’s operations. While the data centre issue is separate from the shooting probe, both incidents highlight growing scrutiny of activities in the area.
Authorities have not confirmed the number of people involved in the shooting or the extent of the investigation. The case remains under review, with no official statement yet released. The Clondalkin area continues to face attention for various issues, including environmental and security concerns.
