A museum worker in Dublin has been charged with possession of a Semtex bomb after the device was intercepted near the Irish border. Simon O’Donovan, a staff member at Collins Barracks museum, is alleged to have taken the explosive from his workplace and given it to a law student, Isobella Perrie Sullivan, who was later stopped by police in County Monaghan. The incident occurred when Sullivan was stopped with the device in her car. Both individuals have been granted bail by the High Court, despite objections from the Gardai, Ireland’s national police force.
