The discussions focused on enhancing Ukraine’s defences and reinforcing the strategic alliance between the two countries.
Canada has been a key ally to Ukraine since the start of the conflict. This new agreement reflects the ongoing commitment to support Ukraine’s security needs. The drone and air defence package is part of a larger support package unveiled earlier this month.
The visit also included public events in Calgary, Toronto, and North Bay, highlighting the close ties between the two leaders. Carney emphasized the importance of Canada’s role in supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and security.
