Separately, an inquest has been announced into the death of Gregory Ritchie, a 30-year-old Ojibwe man. The Ontario coroner will investigate the circumstances of his death, which occurred in Ottawa.
The two cases are currently being treated as separate incidents, with no direct connection established between them.
