The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a roadmap aimed at transforming Nigeria into a $1 trillion economy by 2030. The plan, announced by the party's National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, highlights economic reforms and infrastructure development as key pillars. The initiative comes as the government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu seeks to position Nigeria as a global economic power.
The strategy includes measures to attract foreign investment, improve public services, and enhance productivity across key sectors. The APC emphasized the need for structural reforms to address long-standing challenges such as corruption, bureaucratic inefficiencies, and inadequate infrastructure. These efforts are expected to create jobs and stimulate growth, aligning with the administration's broader economic goals.
The roadmap also underscores the importance of public-private partnerships and international collaboration. Officials noted that achieving the $1 trillion target will require sustained effort and strategic planning. While the plan outlines ambitious goals, experts caution that success will depend on effective implementation and political stability.
