Nigerian authorities intercepted three packs of Colorado cannabis hidden in music speakers during a customs operation in Lagos. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) confirmed the seizure, highlighting the use of sophisticated methods by smugglers to transport illicit substances. The intercepted items were discovered at a motor park in Maza Maza, a known hub for illicit trade.

The operation was conducted by the NDLEA’s Directorate of Operations and General Investigation. Officials emphasized the growing challenge of tracking drug trafficking routes, particularly those involving international shipments. The intercepted speakers were part of a larger shipment originating from the UK, according to the agency.

The NDLEA has called for increased vigilance and collaboration with international partners to combat cross-border drug trafficking. The seizure underscores the evolving tactics used by traffickers to evade detection. No arrests were reported in connection with the incident.
