The BBC is reportedly in discussions with comedian Jimmy Carr to host a potential reboot of the popular motoring show Top Gear. The move comes four years after the show was temporarily suspended following a serious accident involving presenter Freddie Flintoff.
Flintoff, known as Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff, suffered life-changing injuries during a filming incident in 2023, leading to the show being put on hold. The original cast, including Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris, were the last to host the series before the hiatus.
Carr, a well-known comedian and former Top Gear contributor, has been linked to the project as a possible replacement. While no official confirmation has been released, the potential revival has sparked interest among fans.
The BBC has not commented on the reported talks, but the possibility of a new series has been widely speculated in the media. Fans are now eagerly awaiting any official announcement.
