In Co Clare, a local family has painted a large "F*** Trump" slogan near Shannon Airport, directly under the flight path for Air Force One.
Authorities have also confirmed that Irish ministers will attend a private welcome event for Trump at the US ambassador's residence. The operation includes the use of quadbike police units and divers in Phoenix Park, highlighting the scale of the security effort.
