A helicopter crashed near Mount Ololokwe in Kenya's Samburu County, killing seven people including the pilot. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from a wildlife reserve.

The crash happened in the foothills of Mount Ololokwe, a sacred site for the Samburu people. Emergency services confirmed no survivors among those on board.

Among the victims was an Italian national with Ecuadorian citizenship, identified as Michele Sensi-Contugi, a businessman and public official. The Italian consulate confirmed his death.

The helicopter was en route to a nature reserve when the accident occurred. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
