Wrexham football shirt sales have overtaken Arsenal and Manchester City at UK airports, according to recent data. The Welsh club, co-owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has seen its merchandise become the third most sold at the UK’s largest airport group. This follows the success of the Disney series about the club, which has boosted its popularity.
The rise in sales comes as Wrexham continues to gain attention in English football. Meanwhile, Arsenal has started its Premier League campaign with a strong performance, defeating Coventry 3-0. The Gunners, who recently won the Community Shield against Manchester City, are defending their title with confidence.
Jeremy Doku, the Belgian winger, is sidelined for two to three weeks due to a calf injury sustained during the Community Shield match. The injury affects his availability for the new season.
Transfers remain active, with Arsenal officially signing Konsa from Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has acknowledged changes in the squad but insists it is not an excuse for poor performance.
