The Greek opposition party ONNEΔ has released a short film titled "Τσάμπα το rebranding" (Translation: "Shake up the rebranding") in response to the political comeback of former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. The video, posted on social media, critiques Tsipras' new political strategy, which includes a revised economic program announced during a campaign event in Thessaloniki.
The film uses cinematic techniques to highlight what ONNEΔ describes as a superficial change in Tsipras' political image, while the core policies remain unchanged. The party argues that Tsipras' return to the political spotlight is based on a rebranding effort rather than substantive policy shifts. The video features a mix of historical references and contemporary political commentary, aiming to challenge the narrative of a fresh political direction.
The release of the film comes amid heightened political tensions in Greece, with Tsipras' party, the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA), gaining renewed attention. ONNEΔ's approach reflects a growing trend of using media and visual storytelling to engage with political discourse, particularly in a country where public opinion is closely tied to economic stability and political reform.
