The Irish government has dispatched a military jet to Dubai as part of an extradition operation to bring Daniel Kinahan, the alleged leader of the Kinahan crime group, back to Ireland. The flight departed from Casement Aerodrome on Saturday morning, around 10:30 am, and is expected to return to Ireland on Sunday, according to reports (independent.ie).
Kinahan, who has evaded capture for over a decade, was arrested in Dubai in April under an arrest warrant issued by the Irish courts. He has resisted extradition efforts, but the operation is now underway after a coordinated effort between Irish authorities and UAE officials (bbc.co.uk).
