MediaTek has announced the release of the Helio G99+, a revised version of its Helio G99 chipset. The new variant retains the original CPU, GPU, and TSMC N6 manufacturing process, but introduces support for LPDDR5X memory. This update comes as Samsung and other DRAM manufacturers phase out LPDDR4X production. The Helio G99+ is designed to meet the growing demand for higher performance and efficiency in mobile devices. Meanwhile, MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro is also gaining attention, with reports showing significant performance improvements in CPU benchmarks on the Vivo X500 Pro Max. The Dimensity 9600 Pro is expected to launch soon and will compete with Apple’s A20 Pro and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both new chipsets highlight MediaTek’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in the mobile processor market.
