Faith Odhiambo, former president of the Law Society of Kenya, condemned the attack, warning that unchecked violence could worsen national insecurity. In a statement shared on her X account, she expressed alarm over the disruption of political activities and the potential for further unrest.
The attack escalated when stones were hurled at Orengo’s vehicle, leading to gunfire and the car being set ablaze. Orengo later spoke about the incident, calling the situation “unbwogable,” highlighting fears for political safety. The event has intensified worries about security ahead of the 2027 elections.
