Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has denied allegations by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that he betrayed him during the race for Kenya’s second-in-command position. Kindiki stated he made several efforts to protect Gachagua from political instability. The remarks came during the inauguration of the second phase of the Marima–Mumbuni–Katwana road project in Tharaka Nithi County.
Meanwhile, Kenya has signed an agreement with the Italian group GKSd, controlled by the San Donato Group, to strengthen national health infrastructure. The pact includes the construction of 15 new hospitals in different counties, with an estimated investment of around 419 million dollars. The agreement was signed on September 8 at the State House in Nairobi by the Minister of Health.
The health infrastructure deal aims to improve access to medical services across Kenya. The partnership highlights growing international collaboration in the country’s development plans. The road project and health agreement reflect ongoing efforts to boost infrastructure and public services.
Both initiatives underline Kenya’s focus on economic and social development through strategic partnerships. The political tensions between former leaders remain a separate issue from the new health and infrastructure agreements.
