The party’s leader, Oburu Oginga, described the event as an attack on media independence and due process. The ODM also demanded that the government ensure the safety of journalists and uphold constitutional rights.
Standard Group CEO Chacha Mwita described the ordeal as harrowing, recounting the events leading to Kiprotich’s rescue.
