An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the murders of two elderly women in Trans Nzoia and Bungoma counties, Kenya. The suspect, Ezekiel Nyongesa Barasa, was detained by detectives in Kiminini, Trans Nzoia, following an investigation into the deaths. The first victim, Florence Khosa, was admitted to Cheranganyi Nursing Home with severe injuries and later died from her wounds. The second victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found dead in Bungoma County.
Authorities have not yet released details about the motive behind the attacks, but the cases are being treated as separate incidents. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed the arrest and stated that further inquiries are ongoing. The police are currently focusing on gathering more evidence to build a case against the suspect.
