Kuala Lumpur — Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is being urged to explain why the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) was withheld for nearly four years, according to a statement from opposition leader Zulkifli. The delay has raised concerns among lawmakers and the public about transparency and accountability in the management of the national savings institution.
The RCI was established to investigate allegations of financial mismanagement and corruption within TH, which has been a subject of public scrutiny for years. Despite the commission’s completion of its inquiry, the report has remained confidential, prompting calls for its release.
