BN and PN urged to compromise on Melaka seats for 'Blue Wave'

Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Barisan Nasional (BN) are being urged to compromise on seat allocations in Melaka to sustain the “Blue Wave” momentum, according to Parti Wawasan Negara president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin. The call comes amid ongoing discussions about coalition strategies ahead of the next general election. Hamzah emphasized the need for both coalitions to work together to maintain their electoral strength in the state.

Despite the pressure for compromise, there are no signs of fractures in the relationship between BN and PN, according to Utusan Malaysia. The newspaper reported that the alliance remains stable, with both parties continuing to cooperate on key political issues. This stability is seen as crucial for maintaining the unity of the ruling coalition.

Meanwhile, Kosmo Malaysia reported that Abdul Hadi Awang, a senior leader in BN, does not have the authority to veto decisions regarding the future of Bersatu within the PN coalition. This highlights the complex power dynamics within the coalition, where individual leaders have limited influence over major strategic decisions. The situation underscores the ongoing challenges in managing coalition politics in Malaysia.
