Nigeria's National Agency for the Sustainable Economic Empowerment of the People (NASENI) has launched a new program in Lagos, offering training and resources to 1,000 residents. The initiative, part of the NASENI Sustainable Empowerment Programme, aims to improve economic conditions through skill development and access to financial support.
The program, supported by government officials and local leaders, includes workshops on business management, digital literacy, and financial planning. Participants are also given access to microloans and mentorship opportunities to help them start or expand small businesses.
The event was attended by high-level officials, including the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila CFR, and members of the House of Representatives. The program is seen as a step toward reducing unemployment and fostering economic growth in the region.
NASENI has emphasized the importance of community involvement and sustainable development in its approach. The success of the program could serve as a model for similar initiatives in other parts of the country.
