Thailand has announced the launch of "Nihao Month 2026," a month-long initiative designed to attract Chinese tourists by offering cultural experiences, special deals, and premium services. The campaign aligns with key Chinese festivals, including the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, aiming to capitalize on the peak travel season.
The program includes themed activities, discounts on accommodations, and exclusive packages tailored to Chinese travelers. Officials hope the initiative will strengthen tourism ties between Thailand and China, which have seen growing interest in recent years. The focus is on enhancing the visitor experience through authentic cultural immersion and high-quality services.
The move reflects Thailand's broader strategy to diversify its tourism market and reduce reliance on traditional tourist sources. By targeting Chinese travelers, the country aims to increase its share of the growing Chinese outbound tourism sector. The campaign is expected to run from October to November 2026.
