Three Indonesian artists have unveiled new three-dimensional artworks at Salihara Gallery in Jakarta, following a two-month residency in Australia and Thailand. The exhibition, titled “Setelah Residensi Trimatra,” features the works of the winners of the “Salihara three-dimensional Art Competition 2016.” The artists conducted mini-research and exploration during their time abroad, which influenced their creative output.
The residency program, facilitated by Salihara Gallery, aims to support domestic artists by providing them with international exposure and resources. The artists’ new works reflect their experiences and insights gained from their time in Australia and Thailand. The exhibition highlights the growing collaboration between Indonesian and international art communities.
In parallel, a separate delegation from Australia is strengthening agricultural and food security partnerships with Indonesia. Led by Su McCluskey, the delegation visited Lampung and Jakarta to explore trade opportunities and diversify the agricultural sector. These efforts underscore the increasing economic ties between the two nations.
