Gauteng police arrested a suspect after seizing a large amount of explosives during a planned operation in Hazelpark, Germiston. Authorities were alerted to a property where explosives were believed to be stored. Working with Crime Intelligence, officers conducted a search and found explosive materials hidden in a back room. The confiscated items included 4,483 blasting cartridges and 21 detonating cords. The estimated street value of the seized explosives is over R500,000.
