The new policy, effective from 4 August 2026, aims to enhance security and compliance with international labor standards. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued the directive following an official notification, emphasizing the need for thorough background checks on foreign workers.
This development comes as part of broader efforts by the UAE to streamline immigration processes while ensuring public safety. The Good Conduct Certificate, also known as a Police Clearance Certificate, will be a mandatory document for all Ghanaians applying for employment visas.
