Malaysia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has expanded its digital forensic skills to address the rising challenge of AI-generated evidence manipulation. The agency participated in the internationally recognized Amped Authenticate course in Trieste, Italy, to enhance its ability to detect and analyze manipulated digital content. This initiative reflects MACC’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and ensure the integrity of digital evidence in legal proceedings. The training focuses on advanced techniques for identifying forged images, videos, and other forms of synthetic media. By improving its technical capabilities, MACC aims to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated methods used to distort evidence. The course is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Malaysia’s legal and cybersecurity frameworks in the face of evolving digital threats.
