Petaling Jaya — The Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition is facing growing internal tensions as disagreements emerge over the autonomy of individual parties within the alliance. Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, president of Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan), emphasized that the views or decisions of an individual political party should not be considered as representing the stance of the entire PN coalition. He stated that the coalition operates under its own constitution and decision-making mechanisms, which are distinct from those of individual member parties (nst.com.my).
This comes amid reports that some members of the coalition are struggling with the balance of power within the alliance. A recent statement from Abdul Hadi, a senior figure in the coalition, suggested that no single party holds the authority to unilaterally determine the fate of Bersatu within PN. This has sparked discussions about the structure and governance of the coalition, with some members questioning the clarity of its internal processes (kosmo.com.my).
