Meanwhile, the APC’s presidential campaign council list for the 2027 election remains under review, with the Presidency indicating it may still be adjusted.
In a separate development, the chairman of Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has denied making a controversial remark about supporters of the APC. He clarified that comments attributed to him during a meeting with youths and loyalists were taken out of context and sensationalized. This comes after reports suggested he had urged supporters to either support the APC or leave.
Shekwolo’s clarification follows a media report that quoted him as saying, “Support APC or leave,” which sparked backlash. He addressed journalists and stakeholders, insisting the remarks were misinterpreted. The situation highlights ongoing tensions within the APC as it prepares for the 2027 election.
