A group of 26 beneficiaries in Brgy 31-D, Davao City, have begun a rent-to-own eTrike project after receiving a P520,000 grant from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The initiative aims to support local entrepreneurs and improve mobility within the city. The grant was allocated as part of the 4Ps program, which provides financial assistance to low-income families.
The eTrike project is designed to offer affordable transportation options while creating employment opportunities. Beneficiaries will have the chance to rent and eventually own the eTrikes, reducing the initial financial burden. Local officials expressed confidence that the project will contribute to economic growth and community development.
The program is expected to benefit not only the participants but also the broader community by enhancing transportation access. Further details on the project’s progress and impact are anticipated in the coming months.
