Nintendo has announced a special edition of its upcoming Switch 2 console to commemorate the 40th anniversary of *The Legend of Zelda* series. The limited release features colorful green Joy-Con controllers and detailed Triforce imagery, marking a nostalgic nod to the iconic game franchise. The special edition will be available alongside a themed Pro Controller and carrying case, all set to launch on October 29. This release comes just one week before the November 5 debut of the *Ocarina of Time* remake, which is expected to be a major highlight of the anniversary celebrations.
The announcement was made in conjunction with the release of a key visual for the *Ocarina of Time* remake, shared hours before the Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct. The event, scheduled for September 8, will provide the first detailed look at the Switch 2 game and is anticipated to reveal more about the remake’s features and design. Nintendo also addressed a recent issue where a server error caused false console bans, which affected players globally. The company has since resolved the problem, ensuring a smoother experience for users ahead of the anniversary festivities.
