Nintendo has announced a special edition of its upcoming Switch 2 console, themed around the iconic *The Legend of Zelda* franchise. The console features vibrant green Joy-Con controllers and prominent Triforce imagery, reflecting the 40th anniversary of the *Zelda* series. The themed console will be available alongside a special Pro Controller and carrying case, enhancing the gaming experience for fans.
The release of the Zelda-themed Switch 2 coincides with the upcoming launch of the *Ocarina of Time* remake, set for November 5, 2026. The themed console and accessories will be available starting October 29, one week before the remake’s release. Nintendo Japan also shared a key visual for the *Ocarina of Time* remake, previewed just hours before the Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, which aired on September 8.
In addition to the themed console, Nintendo has resolved a global ban wave affecting Switch 2 consoles, which was caused by a temporary server error. The incident led to player confusion and concern over piracy enforcement, but the issue was swiftly addressed. The company continues to focus on expanding its hybrid console lineup and celebrating its iconic franchises.
