The release of the Zelda-themed Switch 2 coincides with the upcoming launch of the *Ocarina of Time* remake, set for November 5, 2026. The themed console and accessories will be available starting October 29, one week before the remake’s release. Nintendo Japan also shared a key visual for the *Ocarina of Time* remake, previewed just hours before the Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, which aired on September 8.
In addition to the themed console, Nintendo has resolved a global ban wave affecting Switch 2 consoles, which was caused by a temporary server error. The incident led to player confusion and concern over piracy enforcement, but the issue was swiftly addressed.
