Clarissa Seow and Rae Woon, creators for SportPlus, participated in the Port Douglas marathon as part of a partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland. The event, held in September, saw the duo run from the Outer Reef to the Sands of Four Mile Beach, highlighting the region’s natural beauty and athletic challenges.

The marathon, known for its scenic route along the coast, attracted runners from across Australia and beyond. Seow and Woon joined other athletes in completing the 42.2-kilometer course, which offers breathtaking views of the Great Barrier Reef and the tropical landscape of North Queensland.

The partnership between SportPlus and Tourism and Events Queensland aims to promote local tourism through fitness events. By featuring local creators, the initiative encourages community engagement and showcases the region’s appeal to outdoor enthusiasts.

The event also serves as a platform for raising awareness about sustainable tourism practices, aligning with the region’s environmental goals. As part of their coverage, SportPlus plans to share insights and experiences from the marathon with their audience.
