The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has called for early evacuations in flood-prone areas as heavy rains continue across the Philippines. Fire Supt. Anthony Arroyo urged residents to take proactive steps ahead of the rainy season, which has intensified in recent weeks. The warning comes as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) held a Kapihan forum, where officials discussed flood preparedness. Arroyo emphasized that early action could prevent loss of life and property. Local authorities are working with communities to identify high-risk zones and improve emergency response. The BFP is also coordinating with other agencies to ensure timely assistance during the monsoon season.
