Wike inspected flood-affected areas after heavy rainfall and identified structures built on waterways and drainage channels. He warned that property owners will not be spared, emphasizing the need for compliance. The move comes amid growing concerns over urban flooding in the capital.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is preparing to carry out the demolitions. Some of the properties targeted are owned by senators, according to reports. Wike claimed the government has already identified the buildings and is ready to proceed.
