Lenovo has released a new 15-inch gaming laptop featuring Intel’s Panther Lake platform. The LOQ Essential 15IPH11 uses Intel Arc B390 graphics instead of Nvidia options, offering a 165 Hz display and up to 19 hours of battery life. This marks a shift in the gaming laptop market as Intel introduces its own graphics solution.
The Panther Lake platform aims to improve battery efficiency compared to traditional gaming laptops. Lenovo’s new model is part of a broader trend where Intel is expanding its presence in the gaming sector. The Arc B390 graphics are designed for performance without compromising on power consumption.
Other manufacturers are also adopting Panther Lake. MSI has launched the Cyborg 15 with a 144 Hz display and Nvidia RTX 5060 graphics, while Asus has introduced a 16-inch laptop with an OLED screen and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090. These models highlight the growing competition in high-performance portable gaming.
Intel is also exploring lighter versions of its Arc G3 graphics for handheld devices. A 4-core Xe3 variant with a TDP of 8 to 25 watts is under development, showing the company’s focus on versatile gaming hardware.
