President William Ruto emphasized the need for Kenya to enhance national security as it moves beyond Vision 2030, highlighting emerging threats that could challenge the country’s development goals. Speaking at a military training event in Eldoret, Ruto called for a more robust security strategy to safeguard Kenya’s future.
Key stakeholders gathered at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre to discuss the country’s progress under Vision 2030. Dr. James Mwangi, Founding Chairman of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board, stressed the importance of continuity in national development plans. The conversation underscored the need for sustained efforts to meet long-term objectives.
Vision 2030 Board chairman Emmanuel Nzai noted that the initiative has significantly transformed Kenya, despite missing some growth targets. He reported that implementation has reached 66.1 percent, reflecting progress in key areas. As Kenya looks ahead, leaders are focusing on how to build on this foundation while addressing new challenges.
