A growing internal conflict within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged as the party prepares for the 2027 presidential elections. In Kano, members of the Borno IDPs Welfare Association have rejected the appearance of former governor Ali Modu Sheriff at a campaign event, sparking an internal disagreement. This tension comes amid broader shifts within the party, as several defectors, including former senators Rufai Sani Hanga and Gaya, have joined the APC, adding to the political landscape.
The APC has also seen a surge in support, with a large crowd gathering at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano for a Tinubu support group launch.
