The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the recovery of over $684 million in three years, alongside N1.23 trillion naira and 1,177 real estate assets. The agency reported securing 10,872 convictions, with cybercrime and advance-fee fraud accounting for nearly two-thirds of major offenses.

Among the notable recoveries, the EFCC released N661.32 billion, equivalent to $492.37 million, to beneficiaries Iyobosa Uwogiaren and Alex Enumah in Abuja. The figures highlight the agency’s efforts in tackling financial crimes and recovering illicit funds.

The EFCC has emphasized its focus on high-impact cases, particularly those involving cybercrime and fraudulent schemes. The recovered assets and convictions underscore the commission’s role in curbing economic crimes and restoring public trust.

The agency continues to work closely with international partners to track and recover assets held abroad, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial dealings.
