The Nigerian government, through the Telecommunication and Technology Sustainability Working Group (TTSWG), has pledged N9.2 million in seed capital to three startups. This investment aims to foster cross-border innovation and help Nigerian startups transition from survival mode to scalable operations. The initiative reflects a growing focus on sustainable technology solutions in the country.
The selected startups will receive funding to develop and expand their technological offerings, with an emphasis on sustainability. This move is part of broader efforts to position Nigeria as a hub for African tech innovation. The TTSWG is working closely with local and international partners to ensure the startups can compete globally.
The funding comes at a time when many Nigerian startups are seeking ways to scale their operations while maintaining environmental and social responsibility. The government hopes this investment will stimulate economic growth and create jobs in the tech sector.
The program also encourages collaboration between Nigerian entrepreneurs and foreign investors, aiming to enhance the country’s digital infrastructure and technological capabilities.
