GCash’s lending arm, Fuse Financing, has disbursed over ₱406 billion in loans to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Philippines. The company, which operates under the GCash platform, has focused on providing accessible financial services to support business growth. The loans, known as GLoan Negosyo, are designed to help local entrepreneurs and small business owners access capital for expansion and operational needs.
The initiative highlights the growing role of digital finance in the Philippine economy. By offering flexible loan options and streamlined approval processes, Fuse aims to reduce barriers for small businesses. The amount disbursed reflects the increasing demand for financial support among MSMEs, which form the backbone of the country’s economic activity.
The government has also emphasized the importance of supporting MSMEs as a key driver of employment and economic resilience. With digital platforms like Fuse expanding their reach, more businesses are gaining access to the tools needed for sustainable growth. This trend underscores the evolving landscape of financial inclusion in the region.
