Indian authorities have recovered seven bodies from rivers in Uttar Pradesh, believed to be victims of the devastating floods in Nepal. The bodies were found in the Maharajganj and Kushinagar districts, bordering Nepal’s flood-affected Chitwan region. Officials confirmed the discovery, highlighting the scale of the disaster.
The Nepal floods, triggered by heavy monsoon rains, have claimed over 469 confirmed lives, with hundreds still missing. The worst-hit area is Chitwan district, where 178 fatalities have been reported. Rescue operations continue in the region, with challenges posed by the rugged terrain and ongoing rainfall.
