At least two people were killed in Russian drone and missile strikes in Ukraine overnight, according to authorities. The attacks occurred a day after a deadly strike on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih, which left 16 people dead and over 130 injured.

The Ukrainian rail operator reported that one of its employees was killed in a ballistic missile attack on a railway in Kyiv. Russia’s defense ministry confirmed that its forces targeted a locomotive depot.

The attack on the shopping center, described as a “double-tap” strike, has drawn strong condemnation. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it a “cowardly and deliberate” act. Officials say nine people are still missing following the attack.

Ukrainian authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of casualties from the overnight strikes. The strikes come amid ongoing tensions and continued Russian military operations in the region.
