The Supreme Federal Court (STF) president, Edson Fachin, has ordered the unsealing of 15 investigations related to the Banco Master scandal, according to recent reports. The decision comes as the court prepares for a crucial vote on procedural matters involving Justice Minister Alexandre Moraes.
Minister André Mendonça, following Fachin’s directive, removed the confidentiality of the files, allowing access to the documents. This move is expected to increase transparency ahead of the upcoming vote on whether the session will be open or closed.
The unsealed files include those from the Operation Compliance Zero, which has been at the center of political and legal controversy. Fachin’s order follows a request from the Partido Novo, which has raised concerns about the role of Prosecutor General Paulo Gonet in the cases.
