Cabinet Secretary Hanna Wendot Cheptumo announced the release of Sh850.7 million to support more than 425,000 households in Kenya. The funds are part of the Cash Transfer for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (CT-OVC) program. The payment was made on September 2, 2026, targeting families in need.
The disbursement aims to provide financial assistance to vulnerable children and their families. The amount disbursed is slightly over Sh850 million, with 425,348 beneficiaries registered. The program is managed by the Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture and Children Services.
